Sweetest Seduction Release Day

Sweetest Seduction Cover

I’m so excited to introduce this new book to you! Sweetest Seduction is a novella set around Valentine’s Day. I had a lot of fun writing this book, thinking about what kind of date Keith would have to plan to get through Val’s thick skull that they would be great together. In fact, it’s the first time I ever went on an activity specifically for research on a book, and deducted the cost from my taxes. I felt so official! Many, many years ago I went on a horseback ride over the Hollywood hills, and I decided that was the perfect end to the marathon date that Keith takes Valerie on for. But, of course, it had been a while, so I grabbed my friend and made the trip. I, er, didn’t discuss with her the plans that Keith had for Val during the ride, so she may be a bit surprised by that section when she reads the book (let’s just say it involves a battery operated toy).

It’s also the first time I tried writing something for a holiday. I definitely feel that this book has a sweeter vibe than my others, because apparently I just have a sweet spot for this holiday. Who knew?! It’s not like I’ve ever had any particularly phenomenal Valentine’s Day dates or experiences, but I still melt over the idea of the right guy handing over a single rose (or more, I’m not picky!!), and that’s how Sweetest Seduction came to be.
Valentine's Day blog hop
If you’re the contest type, there will be three ways to win Sweetest Seduction in the next few days, including one here. I’ve joined the Valentine’s Day Blog Hop, which runs the 11th through the 14th. I’ll be giving away an ebook copy of Sweetest Seduction, of course, as well as a necklace. So check back here tomorrow and I’ll give you the details for my contest, plus a couple of others.

Happy reading!!

Sweetest Seduction – Coming Soon(ish)!

I’m excited to announce that my Valentine’s Day story, Sweetest Seduction, has been accepted by Ellora’s Cave. This is my first attempt to write a holiday specific story. It’s also shorter than my other books, with most of the book taking place in one day. One hella-fun filled day, of course! I don’t have any official blurbage yet, but here’s a general idea.

Val’s known Keith for a while. She’s his accountant. And if she dreams about his body pressed into hers instead of his finances, well, there’s no need to let him in on that fact. The hunky photographer spends his days with beautiful models, there’s absolutely no way she’s going to compete with that. Even if he has been throwing hints her way.

Keith is fed up with trying to sweet talk his accountant into going out with him. It’s Valentine’s Day, and knowing Val, she doesn’t have any plans beyond putting in a full day’s work. No more asking nicely, he’s just going to plan the date and pull her along until she gets with the program. He’s sure once she sees he can give her a proper date, she’ll see that he might just be the man for her.

I’ll be sure to keep you updated on what happens with Sweetest Seduction, as well as post an excerpt! Also, I know this isn’t the story I’ve mentioned working on (I’m such a pain in the ass, I know). But I hope to have news on the contemporary with menage, soon(ish). :P

I’m alive!

I am alive, just boring lately! :P

The folks at the Day Dreaming blog and Scorching Book Reviews are hosting the Perfect Man event all month. The past week has been BDSM Week, asking who is your favorite Dom/Domme? They were kind enough to include our very own Connul, from Bound by Sunlight. I’m thrilled to be amongst this amazing company. And aren’t the posters gorgeous?

So, fabulous Dawn at Day Dreaming interviewed me, and I did let slip a bit about what I have coming up, though I hope to have more specific news (and an excerpt) about that, soon. Don’t forget, if you’d like my Romance Trading Cards, just email me your address and I’ll send them anywhere (I didn’t say I’d send them quickly, this is me after all!). Lastly, I found out about a fun service called kindlegraph, where readers can request signed notes from authors for their ebooks. You don’t need a Kindle or to have bought your books from Amazon. There are 1200 authors signed up, with more every day. I just signed up for it, so I’m not exactly an expert, but if you go for that kind of thing, give it a shot!

Romance Trading Cards and RT

I’ll be attending the RT Booklovers Convention in Los Angeles April 6-10th. I’ll be at the Ebook Expo on Friday the 8th, 4-6pm, as well as the Book Fair on Saturday April 9th, 11am-2pm. I’m not quite sure about pricing for attendance at the Ebook Expo, but the Book Fair is $5 to enter if you’re not attending other parts of the conference.

Romance Trading CardsA group of authors and readers on Twitter decided it would be fun to make baseball-style trading cards for romance characters. And Romance Trading Cards was born. You can find authors who are participating on the website. A lot of them will be attending the RT Convention, as well as RWA’s national conference in New York this summer.

Despite my inherent laziness, I was shamed into encouraged to participate, and once I got started, I had quite a bit of fun making these up. I won’t discuss the hours spent playing with fonts and colors and what-nots, I’ll just let you judge the results. I was only going to do a couple, but I got on a roll picking out stock photos of the guys, and ended up with four heroes done, for three books (if anyone wants to find a nice stock photo for Zach and come up with some stats, I’ll probably make his card up later, I just won’t have time before RT). Now, please remember that I’m not a graphics person! Jeannie Lin was awesome enough to make up some standard borders that we could use, so that was the easy part. Anyway, enough babbling, here they are. Once they’re printed and delivered, I’d be happy to send them out to anyone who asks.
